OUR MISSION is to provide the impoverished and orphaned children of Myanmar with love, a comfortable home, healthy meals, proper clothing, basic healthcare, good education, spiritual enrichment, physical development and meaningful activities with their larger community.
OUR VISION is that each of our children develops confidently surrounded by unconditional love, respect, compassion and dignity, leading them to earn a decent living and be productive in their community.
It was in March 2007 that the dream of opening an orphanage in Myanmar was born. Thanks to the work of several volunteers, the generous donations from different countries, the valuable collaboration of a Burmese monk and other Burmese people, that several projects were implemented.

It was in March 2007 that the dream of opening an orphanage in Myanmar was born. Thanks to the work of several volunteers, the generous donations from different countries, the valuable collaboration of a Burmese monk and other Burmese people, that several projects were implemented.
To date, 35 children are housed at the orphanage Sunrise Home Youth Development Center, located in the outskirts of the city of Yangon. We are now actively engaged in several on-going projects which include renovations of the orphanage infrastructures, as well as building a school that will accommodate up to 80 children, since it will be made accessible to poor children from the neighboring village. Furthermore, a sponsorship program for students wishing to further their studies has recently been initiated.
We continue to work towards achieving our goals through the efforts of our local staff and our donating friends from North America, Europe and Asia. A heartfelt thank you to all of those who contribute generously to help the children of Sunrise Home and to make this dream reality.
